With summer in full swing, it’s time to reflect on all the changes that have happened this year! Everything from award entries, to a new office to new team members – it’s all go go go!
Before we reveal our brand new HQ, we thought it would be important to introduce our newest member of team Sigma, Nycole. She’s our social media mastermind who is a self professed selfie-queen and enjoys short walks with her pet rabbit!
What’s your full name?
What brings you to Sigma?
I’m still fairly new to the industry but after dipping my toes into the world of PR and being exposed to social media management, I realised social media was my true calling. I focused my dissertation on the psycho-dynamics of social networking and looking at how different aspects of the psyche appears subconsciously on social media.
How do you stand out from others?
In my professional life, I think I offer a different perspective than others – I’m very empathetic and I have a wicked sense of humour – two very different attributes but it can make for some great ideas! In my personal life, I’d probably say the fact that I have a house-rabbit called Arthur that I regularly take for walks to the park. It’s a great conversation starter, but I must admit, I do get a lot of strange looks!
What do you enjoy most about digital marketing?
I get a lot of satisfaction receiving fast results from what I’m posting and updating. Interacting with the public via various accounts too is very fun – people never stop surprising me with what they can do with 140 characters!
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Without a doubt it would be the ability to fly. Not only would it save me money when I’m going on holiday, it would give me a completely different perspective on the world.
Where’s your favourite place you’ve ever been?
Iceland. The Northern Lights were absolutely beautiful!
List one thing on your bucket list
I’d love to travel more of the world, I know it’s vague and a little cliché but it’s true! Canada is definitely next on my list, I’d love to go and stay in a little wood cabin and drink beer with the local lumberjacks.
What do you do in your spare time?
Other than taking Arthur for walks, I enjoy travelling to new places – spontaneous weekend breaks are my favourite!
